Chocolate Mecca

Retail storeChocolate Covered is mecca to chocolate lovers in the Bay Area. It has more varieties of chocolates than anybody else locally – over 1,000 bars from around the world. It’s also one of the oldest chocolate establishments in SFBA, started in 1994 by Jack Epstein.

Some people refer to it as a “Chocolate Library” because of its seemingly encyclopedic selection and knowledgeable staff. And they are very supportive of local chocolatiers and offer lots of local artisan chocolate.

Note: It was featured in the chocolate documentary, “In Search of the Heart of Chocolate.”

CBTB Tip:

Visit Chocolate Covered at the end of the month to get deals on bars nearing their expiration date. (You know whatever you get will still be good until you finish it!)
