Innovative & traditional family business

Anette’s Chocolates is a long time downtown Napa institution, starting in 1991. The family-owned business makes and sells a wide range of chocolates from traditional American treats, such as peanut butter cups, to European inspired truffles to bean-to-bar craft chocolate. Everything is handmade in their factory near the Napa airport and sold in their 2 locations, one on First St. in downtown Napa, the other in the Oxbow Public Market across the river.

In addition to a massive line of chocolate confections, Anette’s also makes and sells their own brittles, baked goods, and ice cream (which they make onsite). They also offer coffee drinks and hot chocolate — and chocolate tastings (by reservation only).

The First St. location was remodeled in 2018 and features luxury surfaces and a long curved display case that presents the chocolates like jewelry. The wall behind the display case is a large wooden mural that looks like dripping chocolate.

CBTB tip

Anette’s bars are a good  introduction to single origin bars: They are all tasty and well made, plus distinctively different from each other.
