Not your typical supermarket chocolate

Local ChocolatierStarted in 1984 in Napa by 2 Parisian chocolatiers, top-quality Le Belge Chocolatier is unbelievably under the radar, but worth seeking out. Now helmed by another Parisian, Sebastian Beline, they make French-style truffles, bars, and tablets (squares).

They have no store, but their bars are carried by some SFBA stores (we spotted some LeBelge bars at Star Grocery in Berkeley), and you can order their complete line online.

They also make the store brand bars for Oliver’s Market, the Sonoma County grocery store chain. The Oliver’s Gourmet Chocolate line consists of 7 bars ranging from 31% milk to 72% dark and include flavors like Toffee Pretzel, Espresso, Sea Salt Almond, Mixed Berry, Chipotle Pepper, and Strawberry Champagne.

CBTB tip

The Oliver’s Gourmet Chocolate line are a great value: 3 oz. of Belgian chocolate for $4 (2019 price), and they include delicious flavor combinations. Available only at Oliver’s Markets in Sonoma County.
